"reach for the stars you'll see the secrets I keep. and in the dark you'll find everything that you try to hide. like a baby bird's song, it's quiet and weak - like the cancer cough on the rhythm you speak. reach for the stars you'll see.
hey condescender, I need you more than ever. somewhere to lay the bodies down. my fingers in blood, you can stare at the sun. hey condescender I need you more than ever. I need you more than you do. abrasive proof is all I'm without.
I bought the stars you see in the faces that you meet. I'm drenched in life you can't find. I'll be in your dressing room practicing lines. I'll grace your disguise with a timeless design. I'll follow your shadow from miles behind. shaking and scared. covered in stares."

Afrofuturist punk from Philly that twists the hardcore sounds of '90s DC and San Diego into a seething mass of wires and roots. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 3, 2019
OH. MY. GOD. IT FINALLY CLICKED. This album is phenomenal. I loved hearing the raw and unpracticed vocals that would later become the beautiful screeching on Just Married. Only complaint: No accesible vinyl pressings for either albums. :(
